Rumpless Araucana
Soft Feather Light Chickens
Rumpless Araucana

The Rumpless Araucana also has its origins in South America. It was introduced to Europe by Professor S. Castello in the early 1920s. The ear-tufts of feathers are unique to the breed in that they grow from a fleshy pad adjacent to the ear-lobe. Rumpless Araucanas lay a large egg in relation to body size and are as productive as the tailed Araucanas.
